BigBear.ai, Inc. (BBAI) shares traded higher Thursday as the artificial intelligence company announced a new international collaboration that sounds pretty ambitious: helping build out Malaysia's emerging aerospace hub with advanced AI and security technology.

BigBear.ai signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Pahang Aerospace City Development Berhad at the Dubai Air Show. The agreement brings together several partners including Easy Lease and Vigilix Technology Investment LLC, all focused on integrating advanced AI and security capabilities into Pahang Aerospace City.
This isn't just another airport expansion. Malaysia's Pahang Aerospace City is positioning itself as a regional hub designed to support air, land and maritime travel. The project aims to attract significant domestic and global investment through aviation, logistics and space initiatives, including what's expected to be the region's first international spaceport.
What BigBear.ai Brings
The company said it will focus on predictive analytics, mission-ready AI and secure orchestration technologies. Think border operations, national security applications, and real-time infrastructure management across the developing ecosystem. It's the kind of integrated approach that makes sense when you're building something from scratch rather than retrofitting existing infrastructure.
