Ryde Group Ltd (RYDE) and GO-GENIE are taking their partnership to the next level, combining AI logistics with sustainability goals to make last-mile delivery faster, cleaner, and more profitable for gig workers.
The two companies ran a pilot program earlier in 2025 that connected Ryde's driver network with GO-GENIE's AI logistics platform. The results were promising enough that they're now scaling up and adding real-time emissions tracking to the mix. During the pilot, they saw better vehicle utilization and increased income for drivers during off-peak hours, which is exactly what gig workers need.
Here's how it works: drivers and riders get smarter job matching, less time sitting around waiting for the next gig, and AI-powered route optimization that's designed to cut fuel consumption. The goal is to give workers more consistent earning opportunities without sacrificing the flexibility that makes gig work attractive in the first place.
Customers benefit too. With a larger pool of couriers available, they get faster pickups, more reliable deliveries, and smoother service when demand spikes.
The sustainability angle is significant. GO-GENIE's carbon tracking technology lets Ryde monitor emissions in real-time, which aligns with Singapore's push toward greener urban mobility. Meanwhile, Ryde's driver network helps GO-GENIE handle merchant support during busy periods without building new infrastructure.
"We are excited to partner with GO-GENIE to leverage their innovative technology and contribute to a more sustainable future," said Mike Liu, Business Development Manager at Ryde. Averyl Loke, Business and Brand Development Manager at GO-GENIE, noted the collaboration creates a foundation for scalable growth while cutting logistics-related emissions.
Ryde Group shares gained 2.30% to $0.4500 during premarket trading on Tuesday.
