It wasn't exactly a banner day for the broader market on Monday, with the Nasdaq Composite dropping more than 100 points. But while the indices struggled, plenty of individual names found reasons to climb.
Leading the pack was DigitalBridge Group Inc (DBRG), which jumped 9.9% to $15.30 after announcing it will be acquired by SoftBank Group. The deal values the digital infrastructure company at approximately $4.0 billion in total enterprise value, giving shareholders a solid premium and SoftBank another big bet in the infrastructure space.
Other Notable Gainers
Several other stocks posted impressive gains despite the broader market weakness. Here's what drove the action:
Eightco Holdings Inc (ORBS) led the charge with a 29.1% surge to $2.15 after unveiling a share buyback program worth up to $125 million. When a company announces it's willing to spend that kind of cash on its own stock, investors tend to take notice.
Palisade Bio Inc (PALI) soared 18.6% to $2.55 after Piper Sandler analyst Yasmeen Rahimi initiated coverage with an Overweight rating and a $25 price target. That's quite the upside potential from current levels.
Regencell Bioscience Holdings Ltd (RGC) gained 16.3% to $24.60 without any specific catalyst announced.
Praxis Precision Medicines Inc (PRAX) surged 13% to $304.00 after the FDA granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation for ulixacaltamide. That designation can significantly speed up the development and review process for promising therapies.
Zura Bio Ltd (ZURA) climbed 13% to $5.26, while Precigen Inc (PGEN) added 8.6% to reach $4.52.
Autolus Therapeutics PLC (AUTL) jumped 7.8% to $1.80 after Needham analyst Gil Blum maintained a Buy rating and raised the price target from $10 to $11.
LightPath Technologies Inc (LPTH) gained 6.6% to $9.62, while NGL Energy Partners LP (NGL) surged 6.3% to $9.98.
Rounding out the list, Six Flags Entertainment Corp (FUN) gained 5% to $15.64, continuing its recovery as the theme park operator benefits from sustained consumer demand.
