With U.S. stock futures showing mixed signals Wednesday morning, several companies are positioned to capture investor attention as earnings season continues its march forward.
Wall Street analysts expect Albertsons Companies Inc. (ACI) to report quarterly earnings of 68 cents per share on revenue of $19.17 billion before the opening bell, according to data from Benzinga Pro. The grocery retailer's shares edged up 1.1% to $17.30 in after-hours trading ahead of the announcement.
Penguin Solutions Inc. (PENG) delivered a pleasant surprise with better-than-expected first-quarter results. The company posted earnings of 49 cents per share, topping the analyst consensus estimate of 44 cents. Revenue came in at $343.071 million, also exceeding expectations of $338.758 million. Investors responded enthusiastically, pushing shares up 6.7% to $22.99 in after-hours trading.
Analysts are projecting UniFirst Corp. (UNF) to deliver quarterly earnings of $2.06 per share on revenue of $615.25 million when the uniform and workwear provider reports before the market opens. UniFirst shares climbed 2.3% to $207.80 in after-hours trading.
AAR Corp. (AIR) beat expectations for its second quarter and sweetened the news with robust guidance for the current quarter. The aviation services company forecasts third-quarter sales between $813.840 million and $827.404 million, comfortably above market estimates of $793.438 million. Shares jumped 5.6% to $94.50 in extended trading on the strength of those results.
Rounding out Wednesday's lineup, analysts expect Constellation Brands Inc. (STZ) to report quarterly earnings of $2.64 per share on revenue of $2.16 billion after the closing bell. The beverage alcohol giant's shares rose 0.5% to $144.37 in after-hours trading as investors awaited the results.
