Datavault AI Inc. (DVLT) announced Thursday that it's deepening its collaboration with International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) to bring enterprise-grade artificial intelligence infrastructure to New York and Philadelphia. The project centers on Datavault's SanQtum AI platform, which aims to solve a problem that's becoming increasingly important as AI workloads grow: how to process sensitive data quickly and securely without sending everything to the public cloud.

How the Technology Works

Think of SanQtum AI as a fleet of synchronized micro data centers positioned at the edge of the network, closer to where data is actually created and used. These aren't massive warehouse-sized facilities. They're smaller, distributed computing nodes running IBM's watsonx AI products on what Datavault calls a zero-trust network, meaning nothing gets trusted by default and everything gets verified.

The platform handles cybersecure data storage, real-time scoring, tokenization, and ultra-low-latency compute in two of the country's most data-intensive metropolitan regions. By deploying Datavault's Information Data Exchange and DataScore agents within this zero-trust edge environment, the company enables clients to process and tokenize data right at the point of creation. The idea is to convert raw inputs into verified, tradable digital assets instantly.

This approach supports a range of applications including enterprise AI operations, media analytics, identity verification, credentialing, tokenization, and secure data commerce, all without depending on public cloud platforms that can expose sensitive information to security risks. The GPU-optimized, distributed edge architecture allows Datavault to deploy these capabilities at scale across New York and Philadelphia in the first quarter of 2026, with plans to expand to additional metro areas afterward.

What the Executives Are Saying

Nathaniel Bradley, CEO of Datavault AI, framed the partnership in terms of complementary strengths. "The watsonx portfolio of AI products gives us the added intelligence, SanQtum AI gives us the speed, and together they give Datavault AI the ability to create authenticated digital property nearly at the instant data comes into existence," he said.

"I believe this could change the economics of data, helping us serve enterprises such as media leaders, sports organizations and government agencies across the Northeast Corridor with unmatched performance and security."

Biz Dziarmaga, Head of Americas AI Partnerships at IBM, added, "Our work with Datavault AI and Available Infrastructure demonstrates the power of IBM's ecosystem approach-leveraging watsonx to deliver scalable AI that helps enterprises drive smarter operations and faster business outcomes."

Beyond Infrastructure

The IBM partnership isn't Datavault's only recent move. On Wednesday, the company announced a collaboration with Riflessi, a premier Fifth Avenue retail destination in New York City. Starting in February 2026, Datavault will deploy its DVHOLO holographic displays and ADIO spatial audio technology at the luxury fashion retailer to create immersive advertising experiences and generate new revenue through data-driven, customized content.

DVLT Price Action: Datavault AI shares were down 9.00% at $1.05 at the time of publication on Thursday.
